Water/Power is a multi-chapter video installation and research project exploring how water infrastructures shape landscapes, borders, and political imagination in the American Southwest and beyond. Developed through an ongoing residency at Arizona State University's Water Institute, the project brings together artists, scientists, policymakers, and local communities to examine the ecological and political dimensions of water.
The project unfolds through two interconnected chapters. Delta/Desal: A Border Ecology, developed in partnership with MOCA Tucson, examines the relationship between the Yuma Desalting Plant and the Ciénaga de Santa Clara in the Colorado River Delta. Speculative Grounds investigates metropolitan Phoenix's continued expansion, groundwater depletion, and the global political and militarized economy of desalination.
