Delta/Desal: A Border Ecology

Delta/Desal: A Border Ecology, the first chapter of Water/Power, is a cinematic and sonic video-installation and experimental documentary currently in development. The project examines the entangled relationship between the dormant Yuma Desalting Plant in Arizona and the Ciénaga de Santa Clara, a vast wetland in Mexico's Colorado River Delta that emerged from decades of agricultural runoff. Through documentary, scientific collaboration, and archival research, it explores how water infrastructure reshapes ecosystems, borders, and everyday life across the U.S.–Mexico borderlands. Delta/Desal will have an in-progress iteration at MOCA Tucson in the fall 2026.
